R. Serrano is a storyteller and visual creator whose work blends simplicity, imagination, and culture. He writes stories that help young readers explore the world with curiosity and calm, using gentle language and warm, low-stimulation artwork.

Inspired by his Mexican heritage and lifelong love of books, R. Serrano creates picture books that celebrate everyday life, feelings, and creativity. Through Black Cat Publishing Group LLC, he continues to build a growing collection of children’s titles designed to spark imagination and bring families together.

When he is not writing, R. Serrano is developing new creative projects across art, publishing, design, and storytelling. His goal is to create meaningful, timeless books that children will return to again and again.
